Um, I know we aren't on the best of terms lately but I do want to say something to you. It's just... I dunno, it's been really hard to find the exact words and I'm the one who likes to talk a lot. [A soft laugh escapes her before continuing.] But then, I went to the music store a few days back and I found something that expresses what I'm feeling perfectly.

[Shiki puts the Dreamberry near the speakers of the stereo she uses in her shop. She then pops in a CD that plays this song:]

[Neku didn't really know what to expect when this was filtered to him from Shiki. That song...definitely hit him.]

[She was afraid that he wasn't going to call back, that her efforts would be wasted. Shiki heaves a sigh of relief when she hears Neku's voice on the other line.]

[Just going to be quiet on his end, not wanting to say something that may make her even more pissed at him. Well, it's not like he forgot but then again neither of them knew it was alcohol in the first place.]

First things first, you remember when I was turned into a kid that one time right? That was because of a card as well. For some reason Somarium has these random cards that affect and do things to people. I think the cards are one of the ways this place likes to screw with all of us.

[Taking a pause to make sure she's following along]

[Nods. So that text message he sent was right.]

This time I found one next to my Dreamberry and went on some kinda auto-pilot without meaning to. Next thing I know my thoughts were screwed up and I just... had this urge to hurt people I knew, without actually fighting. The worst part was it was just for the freakin' hell of it. [brb looking guilty and mad at himself before getting a bit serious again]

By the time the card finally wore off, me and almost everyone else thought they'd lived their whole lives here...

No wonder you couldn't remember what happened...

[His expression made her heart ache. It wasn't really his fault. But the fact still remains that if he didn't use that card in the first place, the secret of Joshua being the Composer would've have kept from her longer. She faces away from the camera from a moment, gathering her bearings.]

Just know, I was going to tell you about everything real soon I just... didn't really know how to start off a conversation about it.

[What Minato told her during that crazy AU week rang true. It would be difficult to mention something as big as that in a casual conversation. She knew that this is how Neku was as a person.

She faces the camera again, a genuine smile on her lips.]

[... Very thankful that she's forgiving him]

[A genuine smile on his face as well]

Um, since we're on the subject is there anything else you want to know for sure?

Oh! Um, Beat told me it was the three of us up 'till the end. We beat the Composer... is this true?

Well... not really. We ended up beating his Conductor and he got erased from a timer Josh had put on him. He chose that time to reveal he was the Composer too and proved it by freezing you and Beat.

[If she was pissed before...]

HE WHAT??!

[Now she's royally pissed. GJ Joshua. GJ.]

I can't believe this!

[Fuuuuummmeeeees.]

[Just...gonna let her vent it now and wait for her to calm down before telling the worse part.]

[She just still can't believe she even considered Joshua as a friend. She lets out a frustrated sounding huff before continuing.]

... Apparently, I was used in a screwed up bet between him and the Conductor on whether Shibuya should exist or not. So Josh ended up challenging me to one last game with him, everything on the line. The winner would be Composer and do whatever he wanted with Shibuya.

[Remember what Eri said. Shiki notices the little details.]

[She lets out a bitter laugh. Shiki doesn't know what's worse. Knowing now of everything Joshua has done to her friend or that seeing that Neku still choose to be with the person who not only lied to him but killed him and manipulate him to be a part of a twisted wager between Reapers.]

Oh my god... [Burying her face into her free hand now.] Neku, what-- [There are no words. This was all too much. ~~And she doesn't even know yet she was his entry fee for the second week :Da;;~~]

[She recovers after a while. A steely look of determination on her face.]

Wow, Neku. As a Player, I'm going have to say you're being so stupid. It's like you've forgotten everything we went through.

[Blunt Shiki is as blunt as ever.]

Even though I lost and he could've easily destroyed Shibuya, he didn't. He let us all live again, including Rhyme. I'm not saying I completely forgive him for all he's done, just that I trust him like I trust you guys. Hell, the guy told me he was sorry before you got to Som.

[Pinching the bridge of her nose now and sighing.]

And he's "sorry"? [Scoffs.] "Sorry" is not going to make everything better. "Sorry" isn't going to erase everything we went through that stupid Game.

[Shaking her head.] Heck, I don't even have my entry back yet. How's that for fair?

Not a masochist, Shiki. When we were all brought back to life, you were yourself as well. If anything blame Somarium or whatever brought you back only after the first week.

I just figure "sorry" is as good as anything at this point cause what's done is done.

[She had heard about people coming from different points of time from Beat. It looks like everyone came from a time beyond the first week.]

Wow. [Shakes her head in dismay.] You're really in too deep, huh? I still don't get why you could forgive him that easily. You were a pawn in their game, Neku. That doesn't bother you one bit?
